Can I do variable demand modelling with CONTRAM?

Yes. CONTRAM will work with the UK Department for Transport's new DIADEM (Dynamic Integrated Assignment and DEmand Modelling) software for variable demand modelling. With CONTRAM and DIADEM you can implement a variable demand model that is consistent with DfT's WebTAG guidance. More details are available at http://www.diadem.org.uk.

Can I link CONTRAM to GIS packages for building networks and displaying results?

Yes. Although there is no formal interface the format of CONTRAM's input and output data files makes it simple to link to GIS software.

Can I link CONTRAM to a microsimulation model?

Yes. A CONTRAM interface is available for the AIMSUM NG microsimulation software. This allows CONTRAM networks, demand matrices and routings to be imported.
