Changes to maintenance and support

TRL Ltd and Mott MacDonald have been reviewing the commercial position for continuing the development, maintenance and support of CONTRAM.  As you know the present arrangement requires users to pay an annual fee that provides for maintenance of the software and dealing with user queries.  This arrangement will continue until the end of 2009, but from 1 January 2010 maintenance and support will be provided on a consultancy basis, i.e. there will be no annual fee but we will charge you for time and expenses in dealing with support and maintenance queries.

Existing paid-up maintenance and support contracts that run into 2009 will be extended at no extra charge to the end of 2009.  If your contract is due for renewal between October and December 2008, then as long as this is paid within the usual period, the contract will be extended to the end of 2009 at no extra charge.

A further update to the software will be released by the end of 2008.  This will implement updates to allow CONTRAM installation on Vista platforms, fixes known bugs and includes some new features.
